We are looking for someone who understands how to build and nurture client relationships in order to win their confidence to book regularly and repeatedly with our company.
As an account manager in our small and dynamic team, you will be able to identify lucrative clients from our database and incoming leads and use a proactive and creative approach to meet their requirements. And in return for helping our business achieve its targets, you will be rewarded with an attractive performance based bonus.
Meetings, show-arounds, reservations, building proposals and negotiating with suppliers will be a major part of your role, along with developing a strong detailed understanding of the serviced apartment product and industry in a wider context.
We expect you to hit the ground running and as most of our systems run online via cloud-based apps or custom management tools, being competent with computer programs and applications is a must.
Responsibilities
- Build & nurture existing clients in the database
- Be able to pinpoint prospects among incoming leads and referrals
- Making reservations & dealing with a broad spectrum of accommodation providers to deliver a bespoke and high standard of customer service
- Using management systems accurately for record keeping and reporting
- Be interested in representing the company at various industry and networking events when required
Competencies
- Excellent written and oral skills including strong presentation skills
- Quick learner with good IT skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Sales-oriented and target driven
- A self-starter attitude with commercial awareness
- Must be able to take ownership and make things happen
- Ability to deal with difficult situations with calmness and maturity
- Ability to manage proposals for complex booking requirements and generate innovative and effective solutions to meet the customer requirements
- Ability to analyse performance and make informed suggestions for improvement
Experience
- Sales experience in a travel or accommodation focused environment
- Demonstrable client relationship management/account management experience
- Worked in a small team environment
- Highly organised with the ability to plan and organise a busy workload with minimal supervision
- Previous experience dealing with HNWIs, C-level personnel, Fortune 500 executives would be preferred
