Account Director
Location: Gloucestershire – commutable from Gloucester, Bristol, Bath, Somerset, Hereford and Worcester
Salary: £48,000 – £60,000 per annum
My client is looking to recruit an Account Director. This is a great opportunity for you to join an award winning agency working on a range of clients. You will be a highly organised person who loves account management and works closely with clients to help drive their direct marketing and data strategies.
The main purpose of the role is to hold line management responsibility for assigned account team: managing their workload, performance and development opportunities.
* To be responsible for the team’s management of all work requirements for assigned clients, coordinating internally and externally, and to deliver to these work requirements as internal/external projects.
* To maintain a positive commercial relationship between clients and company, both financially and as a strong client/company relationship.
* To hold accountability for the revenue maintenance and commercial growth of all nominated accounts
* To provide planning support and strategic input for clients to deliver to their business targets in the application of data-based marketing and CRM activity
Account Director – Skills and experience
* Currently Account Director level, or have experience as a highly talented Senior Account Manager
* Strong experience with a broad and in-depth knowledge of CRM, Database, Digital and DM disciplines and methods, adding significant value to the team and client at an operational and strategic level
* Demonstrable technical knowledge of the data and systems that support CRM
* An ability to brief and interpret advanced analysis, e.g. segmentation, RFM analysis and profiling
* Excellent communication skills – articulate in person and in writing, can present with gravitas and credibility; strong attention to detail with high levels of numeracy
* Operationally strong but applies strategic thinking to client requirements to ensure best in class services and projects
* A real team player but can work autonomously to get things done, with excellent project delivery skills across multiple projects
* Sound commercial acumen, ability to negotiate and good knowledge of the principles of running a profitable account including client communication, financial management and time management
* Ability to build excellent relationships with clients at manager and senior manager level
