Chess are currently looking to recruit an NFON Specialist Engineer within our PBX Engineer team. This dynamic team includes individuals with experience and knowledge in the remote implementation and maintenance for the NFON solution and services. They have a real focus on customer passion and build strong relationships meeting all customer requirements and installations. They have a strong one team ethic, sharing knowledge to ensure we make Chess a great place to be a customer.
The successful candidate will thrive from working in a fast paced customer focused environment. This is predominantly a field based role visiting client sites to service and install the NFON solution, reporting occasionally to our office in Alderley Edge.
Duties to include but not restricted to:
Provide Technical support for escalation calls / field engineers.
Complete technical validations of NFON solutions sold to ensure full scope of work is known and documented prior to project(s) rollout.
Provide technical installation engineering services.
Provide technical Field maintenance and support call & Fault finding engineering services.
Complete and submit accurate & necessary documentation required (electronic or paper format) for handover to Customer, Project and Support functions.
Provide technical assistance to Projects team.
Attend customer sites with sales/supervisor/Project Manager
Qualifications and Education Requirements
None specified, but good general level of academic (numeric and literacy) capability expected.
NFON accreditation
Preferred Skills
Understanding of the NFON solution
Proven experience in the Telecoms sector.
Cabling installation & Faulting finding skills
Competent in the use of MS Office and other IT applications.
Good interpersonal and organisational skills.
Excellent communicator – both written & oral.
Excellent attention to detail.
Diligent, methodical & logical.
Innovative & pro-active “can do” attitude.
Package Details:
Basic salary: up to £36,000 p.a. dependent upon experience, reviewed annually in May.
Car allowance: £5,760 p.a.
Bonus: Attractive performance based bonus to be paid monthly, plus a company bonus to be
paid every 6 months.

Hours: 37½ hours per week Monday to Friday, normal office hours apply.
Holiday Allowance: 20 days paid holiday p.a. increased upon anniversaries, ultimately to 24 days p.a., plus public holidays
