Every time you access or use DEFINITEJOBS․CO.UK’s (defined below) online and/or mobile services, websites, applications, products or programs provided by, on behalf of, or in connection with DEFINITEJOBS.CO.UK (“Collective Services”), you represent that you have read and agree to the Privacy Policy and further agree to our Terms of Service in effect with the entity or entities on the list below. Any references to “DEFINITEJOBS.CO.UK,” “we,” or “our” in our Terms of Service shall mean the entity or entities applicable to you as set forth below:

‘Definitejobs.co.uk’; ‘we’; ‘us’; and ‘our’; means DEFINITEJOBS GROUP LIMITED of 128 City Road London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX.
‘Candidate’; ‘You’ and ‘Your’ means any person registering with us or purchasing any of our services to assist with your job search.
‘Recruiter’; ‘You’ and ‘Your’ means any person, company, organization or firm which purchases services from us to assist with their recruitment needs.
For you to create a Definitejobs Candidate Profile account, we require that you provide your name, last name, and a valid email address. The email you use must be one where we can reach you. In the event we cannot correspond with you via this email address, your submitted content may be rejected, and your account may be disabled.
Once you have set up a password, you will be given access to your profile and other private areas of your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. You agree to notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account or access to your password. You are solely responsible for any and all use of your account.
We will also share your job application history (jobs you have applied for and when you applied for them) unless you tell us not to. You can change this at any time.
You can use your Profile to apply to job advertisements that are published on the websites or apps. The respective recruiting company will then have access to your Profile even if it is not generally available and will be able to see the data you provided. However they will not be able to see your application history if you have chosen not to share this. We will also use the data you have provided as part of your Profile to provide you with job ad recommendations tailored to your needs based on your Profile data. To provide you with the specific Services under the Profile, we will store the date of your last activity on our Platforms (“Last Active” date), which will be the date you most recently updated your profile or CV or the date you last applied for jobs using the Services.
We will and/or the DEFIINITEJOBS GROUP LIMITED will use information supplied by you to aid the recruitment process. We will process any data which you provide in completing the online registration or application forms and any further forms, assessments or personal details which you complete or provide to us when using the Website in accordance with relevant data protection legislation. We explain more about your personal data in our Privacy Policy.
Transfer outside the EEA: Personal information comprising your CV or contact details may be accessed through the Definitejobs.co.uk database by third parties outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). This could happen for instance if you apply for a vacancy where the employer is based outside the EEA.
Whilst we try to ensure that the standard of the Website remains high and to maintain the continuity of it, the internet is not an inherently stable medium, and errors, omissions, interruptions of service and delays may occur at any time. We do not accept any liability arising from any such errors, omissions, interruptions or delays or any ongoing obligation or responsibility to operate the Website (or any particular part of it) or to provide the service offered on the Website. We may vary the specification of this site from time to time without notice.
On this site you will be offered automatic links to other sites which we hope will be of interest to you. We do not accept any responsibility for or liability in respect of the content of those sites, the owners of which do not necessarily have any connection, commercial or otherwise, with us. Using automatic links to gain access to such sites is entirely at your own risk.
Whilst we make every effort to ensure that the information on our Website is accurate and complete, some of the information is supplied to us by third parties and we are not able to check the accuracy or completeness of that information. We do not accept any liability arising from any inaccuracy or omission in any of the information on our Website or any liability in respect of information on the Website supplied by you, any other website user or any other person.
You may only use the Website for lawful purposes when seeking employment or help with your career, or when recruiting staff. You must not under any circumstances seek to undermine the security of the Website or any information submitted to or available through it. In particular, but without limitation, you must not seek to access, alter or delete any information to which you do not have authorised access, seek to overload the system via spamming or flooding, take any action or use any device, routine or software to crash, delay, damage or otherwise interfere with the operation of the Website or attempt to decipher, disassemble or modify any of the software, coding or information comprised in the Website.
You are solely responsible for any information submitted by you to the Website. You are responsible for ensuring that all information supplied by you is true, accurate, up-to-date and not misleading or likely to mislead or deceive and that it is not discriminatory, obscene, offensive, defamatory or otherwise illegal, unlawful or in breach of any applicable legislation, regulations, guidelines or codes of practice or the copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights of any person in any jurisdiction. You are also responsible for ensuring that all information, data and files are free of viruses or other routines or engines that may damage or interfere with any system or data prior to being submitted to the Website. We reserve the right to remove any information supplied by you from the Website at our sole discretion, at any time and for any reason without being required to give any explanation.
We try to ensure continuous availability of the site and all the services available on it but accept no responsibility for the consequences of interruptions or delays, however caused. All liability of DEFINITEJOBS, its directors or employees howsoever arising for any loss whatsoever arising from your use of or inability to use the Website and/or the Services is excluded, insofar as it is possible to do so in law. We may, additionally, alter the design and specification of the site at any time.
Candidates and Recruiters need to be aware that DEFINITEJOBS do not introduce or supply Candidates to Recruiters (or vice versa). It is recommended that, if you are a Candidate to ensure your suitability for the role advertised or, if you are a Recruiter, to ensure a work-seeker’s suitability for the role you should undertake the steps set out in The Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Business Regulations 2003.
You acknowledge and agree that You are solely responsible for the form, content and accuracy of any CV or material contained therein placed by You on the Definitejobs site. You should be aware (subject to the contact details you provide) that you may be contacted directly by Recruiters by email, post or telephone.
On receipt by us of your submitted information via our on-line form, email, telephone agreement or signed service agreement, you will be deemed to have accepted all of these terms and conditions, and will be granted access (subject to receiving payment) to our database in accordance with these terms and conditions. You also agree that all of the information you supply to us is correct, truthful and complete. You agree to inform us by email, telephone or post of any changes to any of the information supplied by you to us. We reserve the right to terminate this agreement in the event that any of the information provided by you to us, is no longer current or accurate or in the event you are in breach of these Terms & Conditions.
You agree to pay the entire balance (in pounds sterling) of your account prior to the commencement of the service (unless an alternative payment structure is agreed in writing). You agree that payments will be made by credit/debit card or bank transfer. You acknowledge and agree that in the event of failure by you, or the person with whom responsibility lies for payment of such transactions, that we may terminate your account and cancel this agreement immediately. We may also pursue payment in a UK court of law.
You agree to the payment structure agreed with your account manager, and agree to be charged in accordance with it. All prices are in pounds sterling.
You agree that we may alter the above rates within 14 days of notifying you of such changes, although any changes will not come into effect until the end of your Fixed Term. If you do not wish to continue this agreement with the altered rates, you may terminate the agreement at the end of your Fixed Term.
We may agree monthly payments in advice by way of Direct Debit. Direct Debits will be taken in advance of services used and will be set, and money debited, by Debit Finance. You will be notified in writing of the amount debited and the Fixed Term. If one payment is missed then the monthly instalment must be settled immediately by BACS or credit card, your account and all services will be suspended until payment is received. If two payments are missed the account will automatically be cancelled and no future Direct Debits will be granted and the outstanding amount for the remainder of the fixed term will become due immediately, DEFINITEJOBS GROUP LIMITED reserve the right to pursue payment in a UK court of law.
All prices exclude VAT. All invoices are payable in accordance with your Service Agreement. Late payment will entitle us to suspend provision of Services. Interest will be payable on late payments at the rate of 3% above Lloyds Bank’s base rate from time to time.
We will take reasonable steps to provide a reliable service to you. However, we cannot guarantee the accuracy or authenticity of any of the CVs stored in our database. You acknowledge and accept that this is beyond our control, and refunds cannot be given in the event of untruthful information being submitted by Candidates.
You acknowledge and accept that all rights to information provided by third parties are reserved by those third parties, and that such information may not be used in any way that infringes any proprietary interests of those third parties. You agree not to disclose any information provided by the Candidates to any third parties, or those not directly related to the recruitment process of the individual(s) in question.
Downloading our CV database, wholly or in part, for any reason other than recruiting for a current vacancy is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate cancellation of your account, without refund. Downloading using any software other than a browser is also strictly forbidden and will result in immediate cancellation of your account, without refund. Legal action may be taken against you. Definitejobs’s database usage functions on a search and selection process; CVs must be previewed to ensure relevancy against a specific job vacancy prior to download. Bulk downloading CVs is not permitted.Contacting Candidates via email or other means, for any reason other than recruitment, is strictly forbidden.
You may use your social media accounts to create and/or sign into your account. Once you have created an account using your social media account, if you would like to remove access you will need to login to the said social media account you had used to remove access i.e., for Google users you will need to log into your Google account in order to remove access.
We can also create an account with the details you had provided by using your Apple, Facebook or Google account (“social Accounts”) to create a local Definitejobs account. In order to retrieve this account, you will need to set a password by following the ‘forgotten password’ process. Once we have created you a local Definitejobs account, you will no longer need to use your Social Accounts for logging in. If you register using your Social Accounts on the mobile App, you cannot login the same way on the web unless you register using the same username and password or your Google details for us to match the accounts for you.
You can register and/or create an account by using our mobile app. This means you can use your login credentials on both platforms. If you register on our website(s) and then wish to log in through our apps, by entering your email address, we will recognise that you already have an account and send an email which contains a link for you to confirm your identity. You will need to click on the link in order to log into your profile without needing to enter a password. The link will only exist within the app.
Within your account we store your applications to job listings that were published on the Platforms for two months in a history that can be accessed via your account. Information from such applications can be used to prefill fields if you create a Profile.
If your profile is searchable, we may recommend you to a recruiter for a particular job vacancy that matches your criteria. When you set your profile and/or account to searchable, you consent to recruiters viewing, accessing and receiving details of your profile. You may change your details, settings and/or update your CV or skills within your account area.
This matching will be based on a profile of the job specifications you have interacted with recently. This processing is necessary in order for us to perform our contract with you. You will be able to control the type of personal data about you which will be displayed in this way through your “Your Account” page of the website.
We will collect and use Profile, Technical and Usage Data for data analytics purposes to improve the Website, products/services, marketing, user/Recruiters relationships and experience. This involves building a profile of your interests based on the job specifications you have interacted with in the past 45 days. This is necessary for our legitimate interest to ensure that website content is presented in an effective manner for you and for your computer/device.
WHILE DEFINITEJOBS ENDEAVORS TO PROVIDE THE MOST ACCURATE, UP-TO-DATE MATERIALS AVAILABLE, THE INFORMATION, MATERIALS, PRODUCTS, AND SERVICES AVAILABLE ON THIS SITE MAY INCLUDE INACCURACIES OR TYPOGRAPHICAL ERRORS THAT MAY AFFECT THE QUALITY OF THE INFORMATION, PRODUCTS, OR THIRD-PARTY CONTENT. MOREOVER, WE MAY MAKE MODIFICATIONS AND/OR CHANGES IN THIS SITE OR IN THE INFORMATION, MATERIALS, PRODUCTS, AND SERVICES DESCRIBED IN THIS SITE AT ANY TIME, FOR ANY REASON.
