A global IT and financial services company is looking to expand their Nottingham office by bringing in a Technical Support Analyst. The role involves second line support of bespoke applications and web services. You will be engaged in a leadership role and be given the chance to take ownership of the support processes.

THE ROLE

This position involves the provision of top quality second line support and advice to external clients and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a strong background in web services such as XML, SOAP and Apache as well as knowledge of various operating systems. You will also be heavily involved with mentoring junior team members.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A background in bespoke application support in essential
  • Knowledge of web services and tools such as XML, SOAP, Tomcat and Apache
  • An understanding of a variety of operating platforms such as Unix and Linux
  • Experience providing database supoort in SQL or pl/SQL
  • Leadership or mentoring experience is desirable

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Up to £39,600 per annum
