Access and Assessment Team Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a very well known highly regarded Berkshire Borough for a Qualified Social Worker to work as a Team Manager within the Children Services in the Access and Assessment Team on a six month contract with the potential of extending.

As the team Manager the purpose of your role will be to manage a team of Social Work staff. You will be responsible for good leadership, supervision and general management of service outcomes for children, young people and their families. Your main responsibilities will include providing support and guidance in relation to complex cases, over seeing allocation of caseloads, be involved with matters such as recruitment, inductions and team development, make significant contributions to the development of strategies, polices and procedures, undertake duties of the Service Manager in their absence and to carry out any other requirements that may be required.

During your time in this role you will benefit from having a highly supportive and very well set management structure that have been well established for the last six years and actively encourage staff to take part in regular training courses and organised training activity, as this Borough prides themselves on creating an inclusive team culture and environment.

Whilst working in this role you will be located at the Civic Centre. These are brand new offices that opened in 2015, making this location fully up to date and fully refurbished. The office is a short walk from Bridge Street, and with many main roads leading straight there it makes these offices highly accessible for all types of travel.
