Accounts Supervisor

Position: Accounts Supervisor

An established and highly successful business in Liverpool is currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Supervisor to join it established and hardworking team. You will be required to manage a small team of three Finance Assistants and to contribute to the successful delivery of a wide range of financial accounting tasks and to help the Finance Service Centre provide a first class service. You will be assisting with capital finance and component accounting and will be responsible for reviewing and posting journals.

The Accounts Supervisor will be responsible for:

• Supervising a small team of 3 finance assistants
• Accurate posting of depreciation
• Variance analysis
• Financial reporting; producing monthly & quarterly reports for current forecasted spend
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Intercompany accounts; intercompany cash transactions
• Journals, accruals and prepayments
• General ledger transactions & reconciliations
• Manipulating data on Excel
• Quarterly VAT and VAT reconciliations
• Assisting Group Accountant with year-end process
  

Essential Requirements are:

• Experience of supervising a small finance team
• Experience of working in a similar role within a busy finance department
• Advanced Excel skills
• AAT Qualified OR Qualified by experience
