Accounts/ Finance Admin Assistant – Part Time

We are a financial media company that produces an investment publication focused on emerging markets.
Based in Central London, we are looking for an experienced finance/ accounts assistant to work as part of our administration team.
The candidate MUST posses an accounting qualification, which may include part-ACCA/CIMA or bookkeeping diploma/certificate.
Applicants MUST have UK permanent residency (not on a Visa).
Previous experience in a similar role is required.
Tasks will include:
– Preparing management (income and expenditure) reports
– Processing client payments
– Creating and administering budgets
– Responding to accounts queries, via phone or email
– Updating financial models in excel
– Payroll preparation
– Preparing invoices and credit control
– Processing client registrations
– Updating client data and information
– Quality checking financial data
– Bank, credit card and petty cash reconciliations
– Preparing cheques
– Preparing client reports
– Purchasing office supplies
Applicants must posses:
– Recent experience of working in an Accounts/Finance-based role
– Very strong Excel skills
– An accounting or bookkeeping qualification
– A professional and friendly manner
– Excellent verbal and writing skills
– Experience working with accounting software such as Xero
– Experience working with a Customer Management System is desired, but not required.
Strong verbal and written English skills required
Remuneration
Equivalent to full time salary of £24k to £28k, prorata, depending on experience.
