Gamesys is looking for bright, hands on Accounts Assistant who is working in a vibrant accounts department with 1-2 years’ experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with accounts payable, bank reconciliation and some aspects of month-end reporting. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, driven and have the ability and initiative to work individually and as part of a team within a growing organisation.

Core Duties will include:

• Accurately entering invoices into the Finance system and administering receipt of invoices by email or post
• Ensuring all invoices are correctly coded
• Credit card coding, posting and statement recs
• Investigate/query invoices with discrepancies
• Purchase order maintenance
• Communicating and responding to enquiries with suppliers, departments and other group companies in a courteous and timely manner.
• Bank reconciliation
• Ensuring VAT is correctly accounted for
• Posting of intercompany transactions relating to invoices
• Ensure effective controls developed and maintained around AP processes
• Assisting in Balance sheet reconciliation (incl. Multi-currency)
• Assisting in the preparation of budgets for certain indirect cost categories.
• Ad-hoc tasks and reporting.

Experience/Competence

• 1-2 prior year experience in a similar role,
• Basic accounting qualification either formal or by experience

• Passion and flexibility to work the hours required to see tasks to completion in a timely, accurate and efficient manner,
• Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent excel skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve tight deadlines
