Assistant Accountant

The position will be an immediate start and will be an initial 9 month contract that will likely be extended further.

The team of 6 accountants support the company and in such a fasted paced and focused environment the successful candidate will need to be driven, self-motivated and progressively minded. This particular Assistant Accountant role encompasses many of the responsibilities usually associated with the management/financial accountants and as the successful candidate your duties will include:

-Process all purchases and refunds (supplier invoices and credit notes)
-Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve differences
-Deal with supplier account queries
-Perform payment runs
-Process staff expenses and manage petty cash
-Accruals & Prepayments
-Maintain Fixed Asset register
-Assist the management accountant with preparation of cash flow forecasts
-Complete cost of sales analysis
-Complete monthly variance and trend analysis

The successful candidate will be ACCA, CIMA or ACA part qualified preferably with strong finance experience in the technology sector. It is essential that you are confident communicating across the business and with external suppliers because this will be essential when completing the majority of your day to day tasks.
