Rocking Zebra recruitment is currently looking for an experienced Account Manager Manager to join an integrated marketing agency in an excellent role based in Milton Keynes. This rapidly expanding agency works across a number of high-profile Automotive and Retail clients and has high aspirations to continue growth in this highly competitive market sector.
Role and Responsibilities:
The account manager (AM) is responsible for day-to-day management of predominantly automotive account planning and delivery of agreed client strategies. Effective across a number of accounts and showing high levels of productivity with quality at the fore.
The AM will be accountable for tasks and projects carried out by junior team members and will assist junior members in time-planning and self-organisation. The AM will influence good practice through their own use of best practice and on-time delivery.
The AM will drive creative and strategic development of accounts, both on a daily basis and by contributing significantly to research and strategy for client pitches and proposals.
The AM will demonstrate competent writing skills across brief writing to strict CI guidelines and copy for other communications such as online and brochures.
The AM will drive and manage client meetings, responding to the dynamics of that meeting and ensuring that clear objectives are agreed and subsequently progressed.
The AM will take responsibility for receiving and challenging client briefs, ensuring the right information is present and pushing back to client where necessary, for the best end result.
The AM will oversee and approve project estimates and management of budgets through the Synergist project management system, and be accountable for the integrity of projects from start to finish.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Relationships and communication The AM will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Development and delivery of client presentations and proposals which meet the needs of the client and provide the correct commercial opportunities for the company.
The involvement of senior management team will be minimal as written materials will be accurate, efficient and grammatically correct.
The AM will be proactive in communicating regularly with clients, suppliers and directors regarding progress of the accounts for which they are responsible.
Planning, strategic thinking and initiative:
The AM will be well-organised and self-motivated, planning his/her own workloads as well as overseeing those of junior account team members.
The AM will regularly work across more than one client or project and be able to clearly prioritise as well as delegate both upwards and downwards.
Financial awareness:
The AM will oversee basic budgets and job sheets and be accountable for the invoicing, the accuracy and the project profitability, with support from the Account Director, as and when required.
Knowledge The AM will ideally have first-hand experience of the automotive retail industry.
They will also ideally bring experience of working on a range of clients and media environments, in recognition that this provides a depth of experience, creativity and the ability to think laterally, transferring ideas and drawing on experience gained outside of the automotive industry.
The AM will be competent on software programmes including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, and drive the use of agency management tool, Synergist.
Understanding of the digital arena is vital, in order to maximize campaign impact and deliver integrated solutions in a fast-moving environment, focused on ROI.
Business Development:
The AM will identify and respond to opportunities to developing clients’ programmes, and contribute as required to new business activities.
