We have a great opportunity for an area support manager to work for the largest contract catering in the world. This is a great opportunity for someone who likes variety. This role is only for 6 – 9 months as it is maternity cover. You will be supporting 12 schools within the area. Preferably someone who has worked within the education sector, but this is not essential. The area manager will be overseeing various educational sites within the Cornwall area; therefore will need to have a full clean drivers licence. The ideal candidate must live in the Plymouth or the Truro area.
Package description
Working for the largest contract catering company in the world, Mon – Fri, 40 hours per week, £26 000 to £29 000 plus travel expenses. This is for maternity cover possibly 6 – 9 month contract.

Main responsibilities
We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and experienced Area Manager to be responsible for all aspects of managing the high level of delivery and expectations in this unit. Ambitious and commercially aware, with the presence and personality to influence the day-to-day business, you’ll maximise the performance of your team. Leading by example and setting high standards, you’ll enhance sales and provide our customers with great service. You will be required to work closely with other unit managers and areas.
- Assisting the manager of the various schools
- Training and motivating staff
- Assisting to support business growth and sales presentations
- Completing audits
- Making sure that all the H&S and F&H standards are adhered to.
- Build an excellent relationship with the client
- Ensure all customer requirements are delivered in line with client and contract expectation
