Accountancy Project Lead

Qualified Accountant with very strong Project Management and Business Analysis skills

A leading bank are currently looking to recruit within a large scale Finance Change Process Enhancement programme which is centred on the development of the Group Divisional Reporting (ledger) System within the Insurance Division. They have an excellent opportunity for 2 Qualified Accountants to join the project reporting directly into the Project Manager.

The roleholders will focus on the implementation of an Excel based Finance Reporting solution specifically. The roles will offer the opportunity to draw on your previous Finance experience and also expand on your Change and Project Management knowledge. The roles are sitting within the Reporting work-stream and will essentially be responsible for putting in place a solution for Reporting (this is essentially a new Excel model and will include implementing new processes to support this).

The key requirements for this person is to test the new process including drafting test scripts. You will also be required to get involved with technical issues involving data mapping and ensuring the data is consistent. They are essentially looking for a strong Accountancy background with a good appreciation of change and the ability to take on a project and lead it.

There will not be responsibility of stakeholder management as this is already handled by the Project Manager. You must have a strong Accountancy background ideally with an Accountancy qualification (although QBE will be considered). You must have a good background gained within the banking industry and knowledge of Insurance would be nice to have.
