QA Engineer

QA Engineer – Hybrid / Birmingham one day per week£35,000 – £40,000 plus excellent benefits The QA Engineer will have at least two years Test automation experience with proven recent experience using Cypress. You will join the Automation Testing team within the overall development team working on the successful release of their cloud-based software applications. There is some Manual Testing involved in the role when needed.One day per week will be required in central Birmingham, with the rest of the time working from home.Core responsibilities for this Tester role; 2-3 years Automation Testing experience using Cypress (essential).Further enhance the automated testing framework whilst working to deadlinesPerform functional testing and UAT on the user experience.Work with developers to improve QA practices and unit tests.Provide continuous improvement to QA processes and tools!Manual Testing experience essential Essential Skills Computer Science degree or equivalent with 4-5 years testing & releasing commercial cloud software applications.Expert in test-driven development, and test automation via Cypress, work closely with developers to ensure high quality tests, high code coverage and best practices.Meticulous when looking at data and UI/UX, able to think like the end-user and spot issues.Constantly considering risk assessment and able to imagine and mitigate them.Excellent knowledge of software development best practice including DevOps and CI/CD pipelinesExcellent data analysis skills, with good experience with SQL databases Company benefits and package Personal development opportunities.Opportunities for progression.Varied, challenging and exciting projects.Regular team and company events.
