Gas Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Gas Maintenance Technician Shifts: 12 hour shifts – Overtime available Duration: Permanent role Location: BillinghamWe are looking for an experienced GAS Maintenance Technician to join one of our clients to support the Supervisor in ensuring Gas Mechanical statutory compliance. This will include the carrying out of installation and maintaining of mechanical systems or gas systems, along with ensuring that breakdowns and planned activities are managed effectively.Working hours are a 12 hour shift rotating, regular overtime available at the weekendResponsibilities and duties include: Working safely throughout all activities in line with companies safety standards and procedures, ensuring a full Risk Assessment is carried out prior to undertaking any task.The maintaining of a safe infrastructure.Ensuring applicable compliance is maintained.Responding to breakdowns & faults and managing planned & reactive work in a timely and logical manner.Carry out installation work as required.Liaise with and assist in the managing of third party contractors.Liaise and engage with stakeholders at all levels.Be actively involved in the site’s Energy Management Strategy. Essential Skills and Attributes: Ideally you will have a recognised apprenticeship in a relevant field.Commercial or domestic Gas experience with Gas safety certificationEnthusiastic and computer literate, with good interpersonal skills along with the ability to work as part of a team or unsupervised Kelly Services are acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this role.
