Sustainability Communications Strategist / Communications Consultant
Job Description
We’re working with an exciting, independent Sustainability & ESG Consultancy who are looking to scale. They’re looking to grow their Communications Strategy team and this is a key hire. The role would suit a candidate who’s worked for a marketing or communications agency as a Communications Strategist, Senior Strategist or similar, and somebody who is passionate about ESG, Sustainability and Social Purpose. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career by working with an impressive list of clients across diverse sectors with a switched-on, multi-disciplinary team. They’re an ambitious team with big plans. They do amazing work for clients and have lots of fun along the way. They offer hybrid working, with 1 day WFH per week and 4 days in the office near London Bridge. Please only apply if 4 days in the office is feasible.
What you’ll be doing
- The Communications Strategist / Communications Consultant is a client facing role, working across a broad portfolio of clients ranging from SMEs to the FTSE100.
- You’ll lead on purpose and impact planning, narrative and message development, utilising insights from the consultancy’s industry leading tech tools, data and research.
- You’ll develop and deliver campaigns, thought leadership pieces, newsroom services, and retained advice to clients.
Experience you’ll need
- A proven track record in ESG, sustainability or purpose communications. If you’ve got specific experience in renewables and/or energy sector experience that would be ideal.
- Strong understanding of sustainability communications issues and trends.
- We’d love to hear from candidates who’ve worked for a Sustainability Consultancy, Sustainability Communications agency, or in an in-house Communications Strategy role with an ESG / Sustainability / Renewables at the forefront.
- A proven track record across planning, messaging, campaign development, media relations and stakeholder engagement across a diverse range of clients.
- Strong writing, presentation and client relations skills.
- Experience of capital markets communications would be an added bonus.
- A genuine interest in joining a fast-paced, scaling business where you can really put your stamp on things and bring new ideas to the table.

Competitive salary in the region of £50k-£60k depending on experience and level + performance related bonus and other great benefits.
