EXAMINATIONS MANAGER (TEMPORARY TO COVER MATERNITY LEAVE)

Salary: £39,457 – £41,779 per annum

Hours: 37 per week

Reporting to the Head of Data Information Services and Examinations, we are seeking to appoint a well organised and efficient individual to lead and manage the Examinations function of the College and ensure that the College is compliant with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) and awarding body (AB) regulations.  Also, ensuring that the College’s examination policies and procedures are effectively planned and monitored.

You will be responsible for the security and integrity of examinations at all times and be the main point of contact for the College in matters relating to the general administrations AB examinations.  Through taking an ethical approach and proactively working to avoid malpractice amongst students and staff; taking all reasonable steps to prevent malpractice/maladministration before, during, and after examinations have taken place.

The position will involve working closely with key stakeholders (external and internal) to ensure exams administration such as learner registrations, examinations, achievement claims and certifications processes are strictly followed, and key deadlines are met.  Also, ensure the College is fully versed on changes to governing body regulations and requirements.

You will preferably have experience in the FE sector and have a strong knowledge of JCQ and awarding body regulations and practices.  You will need excellent IT skills and the ability to use databases.  Also, an ability to prioritise work to tight deadlines is essential. Experience of leading examinations service delivery in the education sector would be a distinct advantage.
