ESL Support Worker (Stores)
Job Description
SYNLAB UK & Ireland have extensive experience of working in partnership with the NHS to deliver and improve pathology services through its existing pathology joint ventures – including Southwest Pathology Services (SPS).
For a decade, the SPS team has played a crucial role in contributing positively to healthcare in Somerset. We are currently offering a new employment opportunity for an ESL Support Worker to become a part of our Stores team. The position is located at our Musgrove Park Hospital site in Taunton on a full time and permanent basis.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week / Monday – Friday / 9am – 5pm
Responsibilities of the role:
- Performing stock control functions for Blood Sciences and Histopathology.
- Be responsible for the ordering, receipt, distribution and consumption of stock.
- Input and maintain documents onto the system.
- Receive and sort specimens sent to the laboratory.
- Loading samples onto the analysers.
What we’re looking for:
- 4 GCSEs at Grade C or equivalent, including Maths and English.
- Experience of stock control and materials management.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to manage time and work to deadlines.
