Help us make a difference as Maintenance Engineer at our site in Bridgwater (Somerset).
The weekly hours are Monday to Friday (37.5 per week).

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be integral to maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing the performance of our AD plant. Your role will encompass the upkeep of machinery, systems, and processes critical to the efficient and continuous operation of the plant, contributing significantly to our renewable energy production.

- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on AD plant machinery, including pumps, Conveyors, Valves, digesters, and associated control systems.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues promptly to minimize downtime and optimize operational efficiency.
- Maintenance Planning: Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to the production process.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety. Implement upgrades or modifications as necessary, working toward optimizing plant performance.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment history, work orders, and spare parts inventory. Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
Here’s what we require:
- NVQ 3/ONC in a mechanical or Electrical, or a relevant engineering discipline.
- 5 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing, energy production, or similar industrial setting.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
- Strong understanding of AD plant operations and associated equipment is advantageous
