PROJECT MANAGER – Rugby, Warwickshire

Our client is a blue-chip company supplying equipment and services to the global minerals processing market. They are leaders within their field providing a total turnkey solution from single machines to a complete plants.

Their Rugby based office are now recruiting for a Mechanical biased Project Manager

A qualification in Mechanical Engineering is required – a mechanical engineering degree would be preferred but not essential.

They are particularly interested in someone from a similar engineering background –

Minerals processing
Bulk Handling Systems
Bulk Materials Handling Conveyors
Material Handling
Materials Feeding
Pneumatic Conveyors industry

Experience within industries would be ideal.

They are looking for someone with at least 4 years hands on experience as a project manager or project engineer within these industry or similar.

The Project Manager will be responsible for the implementation of various contracts/projects relating to the supply of equipment

Flotation machines
Thickeners (sedimentation)
Filter presses

or any system or plant consisting of mineral processing equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in:

Preparation of Request For Quotation/Tenders for fabricated and proprietary equipment
Understanding and application of QA and QC procedures
Experience in the raising of purchase orders for equipment assemblies and components
Maintenance of project documentation and correspondence files
Knowledge of the fabrication of steel platework and tankage
Use of software packages and programs associated with above.
Preparation of basic engineering and associated data sheets and schedules
Use of cost control and project management procedures

An understanding of engineering principles and the ability to understand detailed engineering drawings is essential.

The candidate needs to be self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and budgets; with a high attention to detail and thorough reporting and record keeping.

The position will be permanent with a salary of around £48,000 plus healthcare, pension and holiday entitlement of 25 days plus stats per annum.
