Electronics Production Engineer

There is now a vacancy for an Electronics Production Engineer to join a leading company in Gravesend, Kent. As Electronics Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer you will be offered a salary in the region of c£31,200 neg + pension + benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• To be responsible for all manufacturing processes throughout the business
• Second line support and troubleshooting of production breakdown issues
• Establish continuous improvement programs through analysis of KPI (key performance indicators) data
• To advise on new manufacturing techniques and prepare payback justifications for new capital expenditure
• To analyse performance and liaise with Quality to investigate trends and recommend process improvements
• Daily problem solving of assembly processes using root cause analysis.
• The creation & control of production machine programs and processes
• The creation & control of manufacturing documentation
• Produce detailed assembly costs for new product opportunities
• Work within and encourage others in the company 5S program

Candidate Requirements:
• Degree qualified is preferred (but not essential)
• Experience of PCB assembly / SMT, in a Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer capacity
• Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn new skills
