Job Title: Field Sales Engineer

Job Overview:

Due to company expansion, our client is now looking for a successful Field Sales Engineer to join the UK sales team to develop sales strategies and attract new clients. You will source new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve quotas. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads and qualifying prospects

Job Description:

* Manage a portfolio of existing accounts
* Develop new accounts
* Increase the business at existing accounts, by developing new opportunities within existing end user accounts
* Engage in project management duties
* Deliver presentations
* Attend meetings with clients
* Contribute to the sales strategy by ensuring that a regular evaluation of market conditions is reported to the Regional Sales Manager together with an analysis of sales potential
* Provide feedback and support to the marketing and product managers to develop the product portfolio. This includes representing the end users’ perspective
* Efficient and effective planning of customer visits
* Pipeline management
* Achieve sales using various sales methods (qualified appointments, cold calling, presentations etc.)
* Forecast sales and develop effective sales strategies
* Submit all reports accurately and on time.
* Evaluate customer needs and build productive long lasting relationships
* Meet and exceed all approved sales targets as set by the business
* Research accounts and generate or follow through sales leads
* Promptly follow up of all new prospects generated from marketing, direct-mail, exhibitions or any other leads
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience in technical sales selling to end customers and OEM’s
* A clean drivers’ license is required (up to 3 points is acceptable).
* Significant day to day travel is required, up to 20% of which may require overnight stays. Some overseas travel may be required for training/meetings etc.
