Warehouse Assistant

Our client are a leading manufacturer of design specific precision cold formed, hot formed and turned parts and they sell a lot of their products on-line offering a next day delivery service and due to expansion they have a new position for a Warehouse Assistant with good computer skills.

Duties for this Warehouse Assistant position will include:

• Warehouse duties including, goods in/out
• Packing orders
• Assembling parts to order, eg attaching castors to wooden legs as required
• Organising stock
• Stock takes
• Organising extra labour to help with containers
• Operate the fork lift truck, using computer printouts
• Using the computer to organise collections and deliveries of both parcels and pallets
• Co-ordinating and liaising closely with the office staff

This Warehouse Assistant role will develop into an office/warehouse position as the on-line website progresses so other duties will be:

• Taking orders
• Processing and packing orders

Gradually you will learn all the functions of the back office’ including pricing structure and dealing with incoming emails.

This is a brand new job and has the potential to grow and possibly lead to all other office and sales skills.

For this role you will be happy to work closely with others as a valued team member. Other requirements are; attention to detail, good computer skills, willingness to learn new skills and good communication skills.
