Order Picker

Salary: £26,000 per year

Halo Recruit are working in partnership with one of the UKs leaders in temperature controlled supply chain solutions and we’re now seeking to recruit a number of experienced Order Pickers to start work at their purpose built facility in Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire (8 miles from Mansfield, 9 miles from Newark).

With immediate starts available, these vacancies are an exciting opportunity for temporary to permanent work for the right candidates!

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Use of PPT and MHE to move stock safely around the warehouse

• Process inbound/outbound orders safely and accurately

• Handballing items off lorries

• Order picking using a voice activated headset (Talkman).

• Candidates with experience operating a PPT or other MHE equipment in a warehouse environment are preferred though training will be provided.

• Some heavy lifting is required, up to max. 25kg.

• Your own transport is required due to the location. (There is no public transport in this area).

• This role is working in a temperature controlled environment, however full PPE is provided.

Roles in both ambient and cold storage are available.

Shifts Available:

Monday – Friday – 2pm – 10pm

Sunday – Thursday – 5pm – 1am

4 on, 4 off – 6pm – 6am

Salary:

£26,000 per year + up to £26,000 per year shift allowance depending on shift (applicants must have 100% attendance to achieve this payment)

Overtime paid at time & half after 39 hours.

This is a temp to perm opportunity with the chance to go permanent after 12 weeks (subject to performance and conduct).

• In the loop meetings where any staff member can attend to put forward suggestions to improve welfare (as an example the air conditioning and the burger van were both a result of these meetings)
• A staff shop selling food products at a VERY reasonable rate (if used regularly you can reduce your weekly shopping bill significantly)
