Site Manager (Utilities)

Salary: £480 – £540 per day

Our client is seeking to employ a Site manager for their business based in Lincoln. Our client is a well established and respected contractor who operate in the water, utilities and heavy civils space. The ideal candidate will have experience in the water sector in particular AMP related projects. This is a temporary role for approximately 4 months.

Responsibilities

• Dealing with all labour on site and ensuring the project is delivered with quality and on time.
• Lead supervisors, delivery teams and subcontractors ensuring resources are utilised to an optimum level.
•  Encouraging your team to work in a proactive and innovative fashion to solve on-site issues and keep projects on track.
• Communicating issues in a timely manner with Line Management. Reviewing and agreeing key strategic decisions prior to communication with the customer/client.
• Drawing up and agreeing detailed Cost and Programme targets at commencement in conjunction with the Contracts Manager
• Developing a positive management style to utilise the skills and opportunities that exist, to help grow the business.
• Monitoring and reporting back to the Health and Safety Manager and HR Department on the capabilities of personnel assigned to their projects and possible training requirements.
• Ensuring that all work is planned and undertaken in line with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
• Maintain a Day-to-Day relationship with the “Customer”.

Qualifications / Experience

• At least 5 years’ experience working within a similar role
• Water sector experience. Ideally within Anglian water based projects.
• Heavy civils site experience.
• SMSTS or SSSTS card.
• First aid
• Full driving licence
