ROLE:
They have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, dedicated and driven Online Merchandiser to join their E-Commerce team based at Aurum House in Leicester.

Reporting directly to the Trading Manager you will plan, control and monitor the product lifecycle in order to maximise sales and profit online. This includes categorisation of product, search & nav and reporting. You will be analytical in order to manage large volumes of data and be highly literate in order to write interesting and high quality product descriptions.

You should have a sound knowledge of Ecommerce principles and issues facing the business on a day to day basis in order to manage the product catalogue efficiently and present it in a way that is logical and customer friendly. To operate in line with the Aurum Values and the principles of the Customer Experience in pursuit of the Aurum Vision.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Management, control and accuracy of stock and profiles published on the websites.
b) Product portfolio management across all Aurum websites.
c) Optimising onsite search to improve customer experience and conversion.
d) Optimising product listing and product details pages using both manual techniques and dynamic 3rd party software to maximise sales.
e) Developing strong collaborative relationships across the ecommerce, marketing and merchandising teams.
f) Assisting the Trading Manager with the analysis of brands, product performance and out of stock reports.
g) Give every customer a ‘World Class Customer Experience`.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Experience as a Junior Merchandiser / Allocator in a Retail environment.
b) Excellent planning and organisational skills to ensure deadline dates are met and critical paths are adhered to.
c) Ability to co-ordinate a number of competing priorities and deadlines.
d) Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel.

DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Experience of SAP, Business Objects, Hybris and Magento business user systems.
b) Experience in ecommerce.
c) Fantastic communication skills.
