Skilled Machinist and Milling Setter Operator

My Client an international company are currently recruiting for a General Machinist

Description of duties:

* To set and operate Colchester Lathe
* To set and operate Bridgeport milling machine
* To work to drawings and specifications with minimum supervision.
* To work to tight tolerances and check your own work.
* To work on own initiative and understand the manufacturing process.
* Report any problems to the Team Leader.
* Ensuring the highest quality is maintained at all times.
* Keep a clean and manageable working area at all times.
* Fulfil training programs deemed necessary to allow for efficient performance and assist

Own job.

* Any other duties as required, commensurate with the role of a Setter / Operator.
Education and Experience:

* Approved apprenticeship or equivalent.

* Previous work experience gained on Manual Colchester lathes and Bridgeport milling machining essential

* The ability to read and use micrometers, Comparators, Vernier callipers, and other measuring equipment

* The ability to read, Interpret and use the Information presented in drawings.
