Driver Audit and Compliance Officer

Salary: £15.6 – £18.6 per hour

This exciting role is to ensure that all company LGVs are driven safely, legally and in accordance with the undertakings of the transport managers. The role is full-time and field-based, with the requirement to travel to all of our client’s UK sites and customer locations.

THE ROLE

* Conducting a minimum of three scheduled audits per driver per year

* Conducting ad hoc audits on sub-contractors

* Effective recording, analysis and actioning of all audit data

* Management of all tachograph data relating to EU drivers’ hour and working time

* Corrective training of any drivers creating tachograph infringements

* Ensuring that drivers operate to safe systems of work and customer specific requirements

* Conducting all drug and alcohol testing within the Group

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

* Potential candidates must have a comprehensive knowledge of EU drivers’ hours and the working time directive.

* Previous experience of third-party tachograph management systems would be an advantage.

* Proficient in the operation of Microsoft Office software

* Effective evaluation and decision-making skills are essential.

* Previous auditing experience would be beneficial, though not essential.

* Potential candidates should be aware that the role will require nights away from home.
