Practice Accountant

Salary: £31,200 – £37,200 per year

My client is an innovative and growing firm and as such they are seeking a new member for their dynamic team. The company provides a complex range of accounting solutions to their clients and for them the customer is king and as such they are seeking a like-minded individual who has the same ethos.

Reporting directly to the manager, the role will consist of providing a full range of accounting services to their varied client base.

The ideal candidate must have knowledge within the following areas:

• Some payroll and auto-enrolment knowledge
• Accounts preparation to FRS 105 & 102 1A standards
• Processing sales invoices, receipts and payments (ideally knowledge of Dext, Hubdoc or Auto Entry)
• Preparing & completing VAT returns
• Preparing cash flow forecasts
• Ideally a good knowledge of Xero

You will be:

• Qualified to AAT or ACCA level with 12-24 months post qualification accounts experience gained within an accountancy practice
• Have the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Have excellent client liaison skills and be able to communicate well with your team
• Looking to progress your career and train junior members of the team

Hours of work:

Ideally this is a full-time role, Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm HOWEVER they may consider 30 hours a week. Flexible working is available if 8am-4pm does not suit you. IT systems are also in place to possibly work one day a week from home.
