Position: Support Workers

Salary: Minimum of £26,000per year
Job Description: We are currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to work with Adults with Learning Disabilities and Physical Disabilities across Maidstone. You will be supporting clients in a residential environment alongside a strong staff team encouraging clients to live independently. You will need to have had experience supporting this client group and dealing with challenging behaviour. Hours will be Monday to Sunday ranging from 7:00 – 14:00, 14:00 – 21:00, 21.00-07.30 and 7:00 – 21:00. Shifts are available on a temporary ad-hoc basis.
Job Requirements: We will require you to support and encourage clients to participate in activities both in the resident unit and within the community. Most of the clients have limited vocabulary and understanding so it is essential that you have strong communication skills. You will have a good understanding of Safeguarding policies & procedures.
Training/Qualifications: Ideally you will have up to date Manual handling training, however this is something that we can provide. 6 months experience is required within the last 3 years.
