Salary: £26,000 per year

Ideal Recruit are looking for Warehouse Team leader to join our busy Client team in Yeadon LS19

Job Responsibilities-

To Support the Warehouse Manager in the everyday running of the site along with the Management of colleagues working at the above site.

Job Duties-

* Ensure the warehouse meets all requirements by completing all functions to the highest and most accurate standards.

* Ensure a high standard of work and the efficient running of the warehouse.

* Ensure that the company’s health and safety policies are adhered to at all times and be responsible for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues by ensuring all tasks are always carried out to the relevant procedures and by adhering to safe working practices, following guidance from H&S Manager.

* Ensure appropriate PPE is worn.

* Ensure a high level of communication between colleagues and management is maintained along with a high flow of information.

* Ensure the Warehouse Manager is kept informed of all operational issues, in particular any that would affect the goods in, goods out and production processes.

* Awareness, inputting and management of the Operational K.P.I’s.

* Will have an involvement with constant improving levels of stock control and overall efficiency

* Report staffing issues to the Warehouse Manager in a timely manner.

* Support the Warehouse Manager in managing both people and equipment resources.

* Support the Warehouse Manager in managing productivity and absence including implementing the disciplinary procedure as required.

* Assist in the training and development of operatives.

* Liaise with hauliers and customers regarding operational matters where required.

* Escalate any problems or queries to the Warehouse Manager.

* Build and manage key relationships with:

* Management (to become part of the team and share ideas and practices).

* Warehouse Colleagues (to manage firmly but fairly with a hands-on approach).

* Customers – only if required (to help develop relations and to understand their business to help meet their requirements).

* Any other duties that are required by management.

Key Qualifications/ Skills/ Competencies/ Experience/ Attributes-

* Must be able to prioritise and organise work load and work as part of a team.

* Must be able to manage people effectively.

* Previous experience in a warehouse environment.

* Administration skills and experience advantageous.

* Good IT and communication skills essential.

* Good Literacy and Numeracy skills essential- GCSEs in Maths and English.

* Forklift truck Qualification- preferably counter balance version.

* Must be First Aid at work qualified (training provided).
