Security Officers – Adhoc

Swindon Borough Council require Security Officers for a variety of posts including Libraries and Concerts in Swindon. Ad hoc and ongoing assignments with free parking available.

You will be working for Pertemps on assignment at Swindon Borough Council as an SIA Door Supervisor Security Officer; the main purpose of this role is to provide a visible presence to deter illegal and inappropriate action, whilst providing an element of customer service. As a Security Officer there will be opportunities to work various shifts across a 7 day working pattern. Candidates applying for the Security Officer Role do not necessarily need previous Security experience but must be confident in their ability to carry out the below duties.

As a Security Officer, you will be part of a team responsible for;

– Making sure you are working in line with all SIA Health and Safety Regulations

– Defusing difficult situations

– Patrolling and ensuring the safety of the building and its contents

– Assisting members of the public

– Representing the organisation to a high standard at all times

Suitable candidates will be able to evidence;

– An SIA Door Supervisor Badge

– Working knowledge of Health and Safety

– The ability to communicate effectively with members of the public

– Smart presentation and the ability to remain professional in potentially high pressured and difficult situations
