Mechanical Fitter

Salary: £18 – £19.2 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter for our client in the south of Aberdeen. This is ongoing work and could become permanent for the right candidate.

Main Duties include but are not limited to:-

• Strip down, Inspection and Reassembly of Heat Exchangers. 

• Undertake Hydrotesting. 

• Flange Management – Manual and Hydraulic Torquing and Tension. 

• Tube Expansion and Plugging. 

• General Mechanical/Pipe Fitting Duties. 

Experience 

• and knowledge of repairing all types of Heat Exchangers. 

• Mechanical Fitting/Maintenance background. 

• Experience of major petrochemical/refinery shutdowns. 

• Knowledge of Shell, Tube, and Plate Heat Exchangers, Motor Coolers, Fin Fans and Radiators. 

• Ability to read engineering drawings. 

• Willingness to work both onshore & offshore as and when required. 

Desirable 

• Experience of working on COMAH Tier 1 sites/Offshore Installations preferred. 

• TMJ 10, 18 and 19 certifications. 

• ECITB – CCNSG Safety Passport or IOSH Working Safely. 

• Recognised HSE qualification / IOSH.

39 hour core week with time and half thereafter. Overtime as and when required.
