Jewson Supply Partnerships (JPS) is a brand within Saint-Gobain which specialises in providing solutions for our customers in the Public Sector such as Housing Associations and Local Authorities. We have recently secured a fantastic supply solution with Greensquare Accord Housing which will incorporate a dedicated distribution hub located in Jewson Newbury branch and a solution to provide van stocks and a wide range of building maintenance materials including plumbing, electrical and ironmongery.

You will be working as a Customer Service Assistant at the JPS branch in Newbury.

Please note this role is working Monday to Friday 7.30 am – 5.00 pm (No weekend work!)

As a Customer Service Advisor with Jewson Supply Partnerships, you will:

· Deliver an excellent customer experience, maintaining strong effective relationships with both local customers and suppliers.

· Process customer orders both over the phone and in person

· Pick items to fulfill customer orders

· Demonstrate flexibility and team-working in order to improve efficiency

· Check incoming stock deliveries and put away in appropriate area

· Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions in line with our Jewson Values

· Develop great relationships with new and existing Customers (both face to face and over the phone), understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible

· Keep the branch looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers

· Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts

· Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work

· Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement

· Serving on the counter with customers and providing good customer service

· Have experience providing excellent customer service

· Are flexible and able to work as part of a team

· Ideally have had experience within the construction / building materials industry (although not essential)

· Have a full UK driving license is not essential but desired
