My Client is a Major Civil Engineering Company that has a wide range of experience in the Utilities, Communications, Renewables and Rail Market and has been helping develop and maintain the UK’s Infrastructure since the late 1940’s
Requirement
My client is currently in the need for a Contracts Manager to be based out of their Hertfordshire office on a Permanent basis. They are in need of a Contracts Manager To manage the team to ensure all Network Operations orders are delivered to time, cost and quality in a safe and compliant manner and to ensure the compliance of the supply chain to all relevant processes, standards and specification. This role is to help deliver a profitable business in line with the business plan – to increase there market share and profitability within the Power sector.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have worked for a similar company with Civil Engineering and Rail contracting.

Electrical, preferably client, background cable installation, substations, overhead lines and jointing
HV / EHV experience
Operationally and commercially aware with proven experience in a similar role within the Utilities market.
Strong analytical and technical skills are essential
Industry approved / recognised qualifications and verifications
Good people management skills and hands on approach
Good understanding and application of the necessary specification and processes associated with communication networks
Excellent understanding of legislation affecting activities in the highway
Excellent understanding of the operational requirements of working within London and the surrounding areas
Ability to liaise effectively with client contract management representatives
Ability to liaise effectively with HA, EA and LA representatives
Experience of and ability in planning and coordinating

The ideal candidate will reside in the London/ Hertfordshire area.

Salary/ Package

This role has a negotiable salary of 58,000 – 60,000 + car or car allowance + Package Per annum dependant on experience and qualifications.
