Our client manufactures a range of speciality chemicals, sold throughout the world. Operating in a niche area of lithium chemistry, they have an excellent global reputation for high-quality products.
As they are growing, they are working with us to source an experienced Health & Safety Manager to support their manufacturing plants in Basingstoke.
The Job
The purpose of the job is drive, train, inspect and manage positive H&S behaviours across the business in line with ISO 9001 and 14001. The Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for defining and leading the H&S strategy, including amongst other tasks- onboarding new staff, H&S document review, reporting on COSHH Risk Assessment, SOPS and Toolbox Talks. Regular audits and where necessary accident investigations and generally being responsible for a safe working environment for all staff.
Ideal Candidates will have
- NEBOSH or similar
- 5 plus years in a similar H&S role
- Experience in a chemical setting – desirable
- Experience in a manufacturing setting – essential
- Ability to work to deadlines with high attention to detail
- Computer literate with report writing skills
- Driving licence and own vehicle
