Highways Engineer required for a fantastic contract based in Enfield
Council Based Role
The Role
The post of Engineer may be placed within any of the four groups in Highway Services according to varying levels of workload and resource requirements.
The Engineer will be responsible for delivering a range of projects from inception to completion through the application of specialist skills. This will include inspections and surveys, feasibility and options studies, design, site supervision, project management, contract administration and financial control
To undertake inspections and surveys, specialist investigations and prepare feasibilitiy studies for a range of projects relating to the management and maintenance of highways and related assets, and for a diverse range of Environmental, Building and/or Civil Engineering projects. To undertake the detailed design for maintenance and improvement projects, and for ‘new build’ schemes. To ensure that project proposals comply with relevant legal statutes, British Standards and Codes of Practice.
To comply with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations where appropriate and, in particular, to undertake the ‘designer’s duties’.
The Requirements
Council Based Experience would be Highly Beneficial
You must have experience in Bridge Inspections using bridgestation – essential
Autocad experience
Ability to deliver a work programme comprising of a range of civil engineering projects, often in conflicting and changing environments and pressures, in order to achieve the duties and responsibilities of this post;
Confident and capable in the use and presentation of technical information
Ability to achieve results through successful contract administration and performance management of contractors in connection with this post.
Ability to maximise the deployment and use of information technology to support the delivery of high quality, customer focused services.
The Contract
4 Months+
35 Hours per week
£27.6 per hour PAYE (Paid via Umbrella)
