Accounts Assistant

Sellick Partnership have been engaged to recruit a Accounts Assistant for a fast paced SME business based in North Manchester. This successful person will be an experienced Accounts Assistant responsible for controlling all transaction processing. The person will be highly organised, able to keep up to date filing systems and comfortable working in a very busy office where you could be switching from one job to another due to the demands of the business. The office is small and the client is looking for someone with a flexible outlook to work who is happy to help out with general admin work as when needed especially during very busy periods.

The role
*Preparation and processing of weekly and monthly staff payroll, including all statutory payments, Inland Revenue returns and answering staff queries
*Management of subcontractor ledgers, purchase and sales ledgers
*Reconciliation of credit card, petty cash and cash book accounts
*Bank reconciliations
*Balance sheet reconciliations
*Liaising with external accountant
*Payments nationally and internationally
*Answering calls within the office
*General admin duties as and when required

The person
*Able to demonstrate significant accounting experience developed over recent years, ideally within an SME environment
*Exceptional communication skills to facilitate liaison with staff at all levels, as well as the maintenance of customer and supplier relationships
*Solid familiarity with MS Excel and experience of Sage
