Heron Foods are a family owned food retailer based in the East Riding of Yorkshire dedicated to bringing their customers the very best value in frozen chilled and grocery products. There first store opened in Hull in 1979 and they now operate from 235 stores, trading throughout the North of England and the Midlands.

Location: Cockerton Green, 16 Cockerton Green,, Darlington, County Durham, DL3 9EH
Job type: Part time, Permanent
Hours: 8 hrs
Salary: 18+ years old £26,000per year, 17 year olds £26,000 per year, 16 year olds £26,000 per year

ROLE: 
The Cleaner will ensure all areas of the store are cleaned on a regular basis ensuring all Company store standards are adhered to.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
a) Clean all areas of the store on a regular basis ensuring all Company standards are adhered to.
b) Ensure all shop floor, freezer lids and shelves are tidy and clean.
c) Ensure all office, canteen and toilet areas are tidy and clean.
d) Carry out role using initiative where possible whilst displaying positive and friendly manner.
e) When necessary work as part of the store team to ensure the smooth running of the store.
f) Complying with all Health & Safety responsibilities in line with Company policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: 
a) Previous office or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
b) Ability to work on own initiative and maintain consistent levels of store cleanliness.
c) Organised & practically minded, able to roll sleeves up and get stuck in!

You may have experience of the following: Retail Cleaner, Supermarket, Domestic Assistant, Convenience Store, Cleaning Assistant, Food Retail etc.
