Our client, one of the world’s largest suppliers of branded office products, is looking for a motivated and experienced Category Development Manager to join their team.

As the Category Development Manager, you will be the key driver in the execution of category strategies and priorities through the channel marketing teams and customers.

As the new Category Development Manager you will be the pivotal conduit between Product Marketing, Channel Marketing, Sales and customers. Working with the Product Marketing team will involve building market share maps, devising growth strategies and providing market intelligence.

You’ll also work with the Channel Marketing team to ensure the delivery of category strategy and the Sales team, including agreeing targets to fuel growth, presenting category strategies & visions, and developing commercial bids.

Key tasks will include:

– Creating annual category plans and quarterly plans
– Acting as the voice of the customers regarding product marketing
– Taking ownership of commercial bids to win back shares

To be considered for this role, you must have:

– Proven experience of evolving strategy, specifically executing growth plans across markets, channels and customers

– Previous pan-Euro experience
– A successful track record of devising and implementing pan European strategies
– Excellent marketing and sales experience, including practical experience of B2B marketing techniques

– Excellent project management and leadership skills

As a Category Development Manager, you must be a strategic thinker who demonstrates strong leadership skills and a commitment to get tasks done. You’ll communicate well with management, co-workers, peers and senior personnel.
