Prodrive Recruitment are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer for our clients based in Tewkesbury. Gloucestershire.

This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated Maintenance Engineer to join a fantastic professional team, A team that works to a high standard strives for continuous improvement in their production teams, and minimalise equipment breakdown times.

Ideally, we are looking for a Maintenance Engineer from a manufacturing background and for someone who is looking to work and further their skills working with an established business that takes care of their staff.

The role of Maintenance Engineer:

You will be responding to equipment breakdowns and diagnosing issues with a variety of machinery including Hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and electrical motors, generators, pumps, actuators, filtration, and lifting devices.

The salary is starting at £36,000 – £38,400per annum depending on experience as a starting rate and will be required to work on rotating shifts 6.00 am – 2.00 pm and 2.00 pm -10.00 pm with daily overtime is available.

Duties of the Maintenance Engineer:

* Respond to and diagnose equipment breakdowns,

* Resolve facility issues and action repairs,

* Control maintenance tools, stores, and equipment

* Comply with all current and future health and safety legislation

* Carry out/participate in root cause analysis as required

* Ensure PM Records are maintained and updated

* Work with site operations management as required to help new and develop existing processes/equipment.

What is required for the role of Maintenance Engineer:

* Demonstrate electrical and mechanical competence through certification,

* Previous experience of a preventative maintenance background,

* Proven experience of supporting a plant within a process or production environment,

* Used to working alone in a breakdown environment,

* It is essential that you are flexible in your work approach,

* You will need a good understanding of RA’s SSOW & COSHH,

* Knowledge of 3 phase power systems,

* Experience in compressed air and vacuum systems,

* Extrusion knowledge,

* Ability to read and understand schematics,

* Motor and gearbox awareness

* PC literate

Important Information:

* Working rotating shifts 6.00am – 2.00pm and 2.00pm – 10.00pm,

* Working Monday to Friday,

* Overtime available on a daily basis if wanted,

* Starting salary of £36,000 – £38,400per annum depending on experience,

* Full PPE is provided,
