Finance Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen, to join an established, successful and exciting main contractor who is looking for a Finance Accountant to join their Gas & Water business unit in Manchester. Their looking for someone who is motivated, great work ethic, focused and flexible.

Roles and Responsibilities

* Management and development of team of Finance Administration Assistant
* Timely preparation of accounts
* Assist in ensuring debtors are kept to a minimum
* Maximisation of sales / variations in accordance with accounting principles (revenue recognition)
* Accurate weekly sales

Candidate requirements

* Ideally studying towards an accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent with Utilities / Civils background
* Proven track record in an operational finance team
* Commercial awareness
* IT literate
* Managing deadlines and prioritising
* Working under pressure
