IT Project Manager – SAP / Maximo / Cormap

Our client based in Northampton has a position as a Project Manager required to integrate SAP with CORMAP (MAXIMO) this is a 6 month project. The salary is negotiable as the role requires particular skills and experience. From £60,000 – £120,000pa to £115,000pa as a guide. This will be paid as a hourly wage on a weekly basis. You will work Monday to Friday 40 hours per year and be expected to commute between London and Leeds.

Project objective:
Deliver an operational integrated train maintenance management system, in the form of a pilot project demonstrating (on a small fleet) all principles suitable for large fleet operation. The intention is that the pilot will reduce the implementation risk on larger subsequent project(s). The system design/scope covers maintenance definition, train maintenance, materials management, materials ordering & payment, and materials inventory value management. This solution will employ CORMAP (a derivative of the Maximo Asset Management solution) integrated with SAP sales and distribution, finance and accounting modules.

The Project Manager will be the technical lead responsible for defining and setting up the CORMAP system and will need suitable IT technical experience to be able to perform the system definition, configuration and administration role. They will be able to draw upon the experience of persons in the Business who are already undertaking these activities using similar/identical systems.

The project will be implemented using the experience of persons in the Business (already undertaking these activities using similar/identical systems) under the leadership of the Project Manager.

Project Management Accountabilities

* Develop a project plan, for the approval, delivery, test, and operation of the project solution, to include all technical aspects below

* Deliver the project undertaking normal risk and opportunity management techniques to achieve budgeted time and cost.

Technical Delivery Accountabilities

* Requirements sign off, referencing pre-agreed business processes

* Identification and stakeholder sign off of data quality control measures and business management reporting KPIs

* Identification of the system design and interfaces principles, and sign off by stakeholders

* Delivery of the project, including testing of the new system, user training, and transition from the existing systems.

* Ensure the definition and deployment of suitable IT infrastructure and hardware

* Work with the individual fleet delivery teams located in London and Leeds and Doncaster. To ensure all local system user delivery requirements are captured and understood, and existing fleet and materials data is transferred to the new system sufficient for ongoing fleet management obligations

* Work with the business systems team located in London and the company’s CORMAP team (based in Germany), to ensure MMS implementation meets corporate requirements, best practice.

People Management

While there are no direct reports to this role, the role requires significant collaborative cross functional work.

Experience

* Implementation and operation of Cormap and /or Maximo Enterprise Asset Management and SAP maintenance management systems or similar
