Our client is a rapidly growing Electrical contractor based in the Ipswich area, which operates in East Anglia and the Northern Home Counties. This is split office-based/site position, this role is supported by a Project Administrator.
Our client is currently looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to plan, manage and supervise a wide range of commercial electrical projects from start to finish. The individual suited to this role will be highly motivated, dynamic and should always strive to be an asset to the company.
You will work directly with the project delivery team and clients to ensure customer satisfaction while meeting departmental goals and objectives.
ROLE:
The Project Manager will be responsible for successfully performing the following tasks, roles and responsibilities:
* Managing projects from concept through to completion.
* Submitting technical submissions for approval.
* Receiving quotes from sub-contractors to analyse for better buying and issuing of all PO/Works order/Contracts.
* Better buying on all materials.
* Producing weekly progress reports.
* Attending site meetings.
* Control labour and ensure projects are running to program and within budget.
* Communicate well with the Operations Manager keeping them updated on the progress of current contracts, providing support and direction.
* Take ownership and responsibility of ongoing projects.
* Be actively involved in providing: H&S CDM documents, Programmes for work, Contract meetings and O&M Manuals

Essential:
* Be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of at least 3 years of Project Management roles in an office/site-based environment.
* A strong understanding of Electrical Building Services Installations and Contract/Project Management.
* Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
* Have knowledge of the commercial electrical industry.
* Able to read architectural plans and drawings.
* Good computer skills, with a knowledge of and proficiency in common office applications, such as MS word, Excel, Outlook, and general software navigation.
Qualifications:
* 18th or 17th Edition Wiring Regulation certified
* Test & Inspection 2391 (optional)
* Level 2 and 3 Electrical Installation certified
* ECS or CSCS Trained
* SMSTS or SSTS
* Full clean UK Driver’s License
