Maintenance Engineer

Salary: Circa £48,000GBP approx equiv
Location: New Zealand

We are currently seeking a hands on Engineer with experience of maintenance, trouble shooting and repair of CNC Machinery. You will be providing electrical, software and fault finding support to the mechanical team comprising general electrical support to both manufacturing and plant facilities.

You will be developing PPM maintenance systems for both electrical and mechanical equipment.

You will have a Technical degree or a HNC/HND in Electrical/Automation and have 5 or more years of experience in a related field.

You should have experience in the maintenance, trouble shooting and repair of CNC mills, lathes, turning centres, borers etc and have an understanding of ladder logic and fault diagnostics.

You will also have a working knowledge of operating drive systems and platforms such as Fanuc, Siemens, Okuma Toyoda and Moriseiki.

You will be experienced in the repair or replacement Spindles, Automatic Tool Changers, Automatic Pallet Changers, Ball screws, Linear Guides and Axis way covers.

You will have strong electro-mechanical skills in motors, drives, transformers etc.

You should also demonstrate experience in specialised fields such as machine tool manufacture, installation, operation, maintenance, repair and have a broad maintenance background.

You should have a strong general technical knowledge and a logical troubleshooting approach and understand modern maintenance techniques, technologies and systems. You will work on your own initiative.
