Quality Assurance Manager

Salary: £60,000 per year

A long-established components manufacturer in the Newcastle area is seeking a degree qualified Quality Assurance Manager to join their expanding team. Offering a competitive salary up to £60,000 which will reflect experience, generous holiday allowance and good work life balance, the successful Quality Assurance Manager candidate is likely to have at least 5 years experience in a similar role, hold a relevant QA qualification and have solid experience of ISO systems.

As a Quality Assurance Manager your responsibilities will include:

• Ensure the integrity of the Quality System is maintained and developed to underpin the continuous improvement of the business
• Contribute to factory efficiency by improving the quality and performance of our supply chain through robust Goods Inward inspection (AQL) and ongoing planned supplier audits and the provision of timely in process quality data
• Manage the Customer Complaints procedure to ensure short term corrective, and long term, preventative actions are agreed with the customer and put in place with manufacturing
• Manage the company Internal audit program and ensure compliance with documented ISO 9001, ISO 14001 procedures, customer expectations and relevant national standards and directives
• Supervise and guide Quality Technicians and Inspectors
• Ensure Final inspection process is robust and all product dispatched meets customer requirements

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager who has the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

• Degree qualified with specific QA qualifications
• Sound working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
• Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis
• Management of Team in QA or other discipline
• Great attention to detail

Hours for the Quality Assurance Manager

You will be working 8.30 am – 4.30 pm, enjoy 32 days holiday (inc stats) and participate in a good pension scheme.
