Salary: £48,000 – £54,000 per year
Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a leading national industrial services company in the recruitment of a Commercial Manager. Working closely with the Commercial Director, your main responsibility will be to deliver the agreed target & objectives that will contribute to the growth of the business by the retention and development of its customer & prospect base. You will have overall responsibility for developing the sales strategy – you will design and then implement it moving forward to grow new blue chip national accounts. You will also have involvement in marketing activity and develop the social media presence (LinkedIn networking and advertising).
Key duties include:
* Prepare and develop a sales plan in line with key objectives as set out
* Develops calling pattern in line with agreed business plan
* Plan and manage customer/prospect contact activity, completing Customer Meeting Reports and following through on action points where appropriate
* Analyse SMR performance from allocated key accounts – report on trends (positive/negative) and any proposed remedial action
* Report on prospect activity – historic / current / proposed
* Initiate prompt action/referral/follow up of issues via appropriate channels
* Maintain up to-date knowledge of competitor activity, products and services and of market place
* Identify & log opportunities for new business and expansion of existing business
Applicants must have a strong commercial sales and marketing background, ideally working within the industrial services and/or facilities management sector. You have will have a proven business development and marketing skillset that includes lead generation, key account management, and social media management (must include LinkedIn).
