Occupational Hygienist – North West

Due to the growth in their business, our client, a multi-disciplinary company providing consultancy, environmental, asbestos and occupational hygiene services nationwide is now actively seeking for an experienced Occupational Hygienist in the North West, they will consider applications from Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

Will come from a good educational, technical and consultancy background.

Will have good client-facing, presentational and organisational skills.

Will be proficient in using the Microsoft Package.

Will be qualified, experienced Occupational Hygienist- holding BIOH/IOA or equivalent qualifications and consultancy experience would be beneficial. Training would be offered to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

The work will involve undertaking a wide range of occupational hygiene related projects such as workplace assessments – air monitoring, COSHH assessments, noise, fumes, dust and hand-arm vibration surveys, local exhaust ventilation (LEV) examination and testing and indoor air quality.

Emissions Testing.

Site Assessments.

Building and maintaining good working relationship with clients/customers.

Managing projects effectively and within time scale.

Taking the business forward and acquiring new business leads whilst still managing the accounts.

Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the Health & Safety procedures and legislation.

Overall, the successful applicant be versatile, flexible, have excellent communication and project management skills, be well versed with the Health and Safety procedures and have the ability to work independently and at the same time must be prepared to travel extensively.
