Dyehouse Operative / Production Machine Operative

Salary: £26,000 per year

Our client is a successful manufacturer based in the Wakefield area. They are looking for a Dyehouse Operative / Production Machine Operative to ensure the efficient running of machines to produce quality dyed yarn/fibre. This job will become permanent after successful 3 months probation.

Full training will be given. No previous experience necessary.

Salary: £26,000per year (raising to £26,000 per year after probation).

Shift: Monday to Friday, 6.00am – 2.00pm / 2.00pm – 10.00pm (rotates weekly)

Responsibilities:

• Unloading of bales from transport or the warehouse.

• Loading of the dyeing machines to ensure level dyeing.

• Scouring of yarn and loose stock fibre.

• Weighing, mixing, loading, and unloading chemicals and products.

• Run various machines as part of the manufacturing process.

• Move, stack and transport finished products.

• Despatching products and checking documentation.

• To operate a FLT / Forklift truck.

• Associated duties as required.

Requirements:

• Recent experience in a similar role is desirable (e.g. Textiles Operative / Production Operative / Manufacturing Operator / Process Operator / Machine Operative / Fabricator / Fabrication Operative)

• Previous experience of operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck is desirable (training will be given if not)

• Attention to detail

• Good communicator
