Trackwork Team Member / Labourer / Ground Worker

Nottingham Tram Project – NG9

45 – 50 hours per week (Monday – Sunday)

Base rate – £26,000 per year

Overtime rate – £26,000 per year

Duration: up to 6 months – dependent upon performance and project completion

Rullion Engineering are recruiting for suitably qualified individuals to work on the construction of the Nottingham Tram Project. Successful candidates will providing Ground Work and Labouring Services to ensure the completion of the project.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include one or more of the following activities:

– Installation of the rails
– Handling and installation of the rails, fastening systems, rail cutting
– Installation of the jigs, iron mesh, pipes
– Concreting:
– Installation of the formworks
– Concreting
– Adjustment/ Finishing
– Adjustment of the track
– Rail encapsulation installation (On the job training)
– Rail drilling, cable connections to the rails (On the job training)
– Masonry
– Cleaning-up of the work site once works are completed.

Educational Requirements
– Understanding of written and verbal instructions.

Desired Knowledge / Experience
– Experience in construction activities desirable

Behavioural Skills / Competencies
– Able to work as part of a team

Technical Skills & Competencies
– Small tools certificate – desirable
– CSCS card (green operative)

Candidates will be expected to show a flexible attitude to working both weekends and weekday overtime as and when required.
